Yann Kerblat

Disaster Risk Management
Yann Kerblat works with the disaster risk management team of the World Bank’s East Asia Pacific region, on projects focusing on urban resilience, flood risk management, community preparedness, and participatory risk mapping. He is also working on the Urban Floods Community of Practice (UFCOP), a World Bank knowledge management initiative that promotes an integrated approach to urban flood risk management across regions by leveraging technical expertise and solution-oriented knowledge. In the past, Yann worked with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) during the Typhoon Haiyan response (Philippines), and in post-crisis contexts in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Mali, and Kyrgyzstan with the Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development (ACTED). Yann is French and Filipino, holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics (LSE), and a BA in Development Studies and Political Science from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London (SOAS).
