Voices on climate change

Last year, Connect4Climate (C4C) launched their first competition aimed at engaging African youth on climate issues and challenging them to tell their personal climate stories through photos and videos. C4C received more than 700 submissions from every African country on the continent, including more than 60 entries from North Africa.

The photos and videos we received in 2011 provide valuable insight into how climate change and other environmental issues impact individuals in the Middle East and North Africa region and how they are working to improve their environment and mitigate climate change.

This year, C4C wants to hear climate change stories from youth ages 13-35 around the globe for our new competition, Voices4Climate. Thanks to new partnerships with TerrAfrica and MTV Voices, we’ve introduced podcasts and music videos to the mix. You can find more information in multiple languages here, and visit http://voices4climate.org to enter by 11:59pm EST, October 15, 2012.

We hope the following selection of photo entries from the MENA region inspire you to share your stories as well.
