The four discussed the challenges of achieving the World Bank Group's goals of ending extreme poverty and boosting shared prosperity, and in so doing, all stressed the need to take on the goals with an activist's zeal.
Over the course of an hour, topics ranging from the morality of social inclusion, to the violence in Syria, to the mechanics of measuring progress in achieving the goals were discussed. The conversation also touched on transformative projects, inequality, working with the UN, and understanding the economic reverberations of welfare schemes or subsidies.
