·         The Guardian covers a new paper by Berk and co-authors in the Lancet which examines the impacts of cash transfers on HIV and Herpes prevalence amongst school-aged girls in Malawi. The Economist weighs in here.

·         Julian Jamison covers his new experiment in Tanzania  (with Damien de Walque of the World Bank also among the 19! coauthors) which gives conditional cash transfers to youth, with payments conditional on not testing positive for Sexually transmitted infections. There is also an interesting methodological discussion about whether one should report p-values in testing baseline balance in an experiment.
