·         As a follow-up to David’s Monday post on grant applications, Nature has an article this week with a lot of relevant advice that extends beyond the sciences.

·         The Guardian covers a new paper by Berk and co-authors in the Lancet which examines the impacts of cash transfers on HIV and Herpes prevalence amongst school-aged girls in Malawi. The Economist weighs in here.

·         Julian Jamison covers his new experiment in Tanzania  (with Damien de Walque of the World Bank also among the 19! coauthors) which gives conditional cash transfers to youth, with payments conditional on not testing positive for Sexually transmitted infections.
