The Climate Data Meeting yesterday was a big success. About 30 people attended the World Bank event in person, with a fairly equal mix of backgrounds in climate and application development. Another 21+ people attended via the online video conference.
We are now compiling the transcript and comments for a summary post which we hope to have available within a few days. In the meantime, here are links to the presentations and websites that were referred to by the speakers. We’ve also included a few photos of the event. You can also read this excellent summary from Bruno Sánchez-Andrade Nuño, complete with 9+ ideas for apps.
Remember: the Expert Help Desk live chat will be Tuesday, February 14th from 9am-12pm. World Bank climate and data experts will be online to answer questions about specific data sets, the competition, and using the API. We’ll be set up to field questions in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Arabic. Answers will be given in real time, and the complete transcript will be available immediately after the event. You can also post questions in advance.
And be sure to follow the conversation on Twitter at #apps4climate and #wbclimatemtg.
