Commodity prices posted gains in April—Pink Sheet

Energy prices gained 5.2% in April, led by natural gas (+5.5%) and oil (+5.3%), the World Bank's Pink Sheet reported. Non-energy prices increased 5.3%.

Agricultural prices rose by 4.1% in April. Food prices dipped 0.5%. Raw materials dropped by 2.4%, while beverages surged 26.5%. Fertilizer prices eased by 1.3%.

Metal prices jumped by 8.9% in April, led by tin (+15.8%), aluminum (+12.6%), and zinc (+11%). Precious metals rose by 8.6%, led by silver (+12.1%) and gold (+8%).
