Call for Papers: 8^th International Conference on Migration and Development

World Bank, Washington D.C., June 8-9, 2015.

The French Development Agency (AFD) Research Department, the World Bank Development Research Group (DECRG) and the Center for Global Development (CGD) are jointly organizing the 8^th International Conference on “Migration and Development”. The conference is devoted to investigating ways in which international migration affects economic and social change in developing countries. Possible topics include the effects of migration on poverty, inequality, and human capital formation; social networks and migration; diaspora externalities; remittances; brain drain; migration and institutional/technological change.

A selection of papers from the conference will be considered for a special issue of The World Bank Economic Review.

Submission guidelines and timetable: Submissions of full papers (pdf files) are expected by January 20, 2015. Submissions should be sent to migdevconference@cgdev.org. Decisions will be communicated by March 1, 2015. Travel (economy class) and accommodation in D.C. for up to three nights will be covered.
