The most expensive whiskey bottle sold in 2006 might be sold to ‘make poverty history.’ Not sure how enticing the mix sounds though:
Malt whisky was collected from a range of distilleries in the region by a team from Norfolk-based Whisky Magazine during a charity walk to raise awareness of the Make Poverty History campaign. And it was then mixed together by top master blender Richard Paterson of Whyte & Mackay to create a balanced and unique vatted malt. There was only enough whisky for two bottles.
Both bottles will be auctioned off, all profits going to Action Aid of course. I wonder if the Irish Bono is a malt fan? (via Luxist)
