Global_competitiveness_index The new report from the World Economic Forum ranked the U.S. on the top and Chad on the bottom in this year's global competitiveness survey.

Despite astonishing economic growth, the economists at the Swiss-based think tank gave China and India the 34th and 48th spots, respectively. The recipe for advancing was clear: upgrade infrastructure, improve institutional environment and, our favorite, cut the red tape.
