A solution to the food vs. fuel feud may be finally on the horizon. It comes from a close cousin of traditional ethanol - cellulosic ethanol. Unlike corn ethanol, it is uses feedstock that doesn't have alternative uses such as wheat straw, corn stover, grass, and wood chips. It's also cheap and abundant.
And though earlier this year many feared that cellulosic ethanol won't be able to commercially compete with corn ethanol, more and more companies are already sprouting up.
