Chatham House and Control Risks are hosting a very interesting event on December 6-7 in London on “Partnerships for Stability & Development: Improving Collaboration Between the Public and Private Sectors.”
Is it now time to delegate stabilization work to those who can best provide it within the context, whether this be donors, NGOs, IOs or the private sector? This suggestion introduces the concept of the private sector as a complementary or sometimes even an alternative actor working within stabilization efforts, beyond the sphere in which it has typically operated.
