Aanchal Anand is a Senior Urban Economist at the World Bank in the Eastern and Southern Africa region’s Urban, Resilience, and Land Unit. Over her ten years at the World Bank, she has worked on a wide-range of analytical studies and projects in over 20 countries across Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, the Middle East, South Asia, and East Asia.
Prior to the World Bank, she worked as an investment banker in London and as a corporate strategy professional in New Delhi. Aanchal has a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and an MA in Economics and International Relations from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. She speaks English, Hindi, French, and Russian.
