Senior Health Specialist

Abdoulaye Ka is a Senior Health Specialist at the World Bank and is a public health and social development specialist with over 20 years of experience with maternal and child health, nutrition and women empowerment programming for governmental and non-governmental organizations in West and Central Africa. He is leading the human capital project in Central African Republic with a focus on adolescent girls’ empowerment and Gender based violence prevention and management. Abdoulaye is also member of the SWEDD plus regional team. Before joining the World Bank, Abdoulaye Ka was the Executive Secretary at the National Council for Nutrition Development - General Secretary, Government of Senegal and project coordinator of successive (and successful) World Bank investment operations. He has led a team that orchestrated Senegal’s nutrition policy reforms including the creation of the National Nutrition Coordination Committee (CLM) in 2001, the National Council for Nutrition Development in 2020 and the national nutrition program.
