Abdulhakim is a senior energy specialist based in Addis Ababa, World Bank Ethiopia Country Office. He has been working in the power/energy sector for the last 40 years, most of which was in the electricity service provider. Currently engaged in the World Bank country office, since 2016, as Senior Energy Specialist supporting the project implementation of few energy projects at the World Bank. Some of the projects he involved in are, Electricity Network Reinforcement and expansion project, geothermal sector development project, regional power interconnection projects, Renewable Energy Guarantee Project, and Ethiopian Electrification Project. Prior to the joining the World Bank Abdulhakim has been involved in the development of renewable energy project such as hydropower development, wind, geothermal and solid waste-to-energy project.
