Adelle Pushparatnam is a Senior Education Specialist at the Education Global Practice of the World Bank, where she currently leads World Bank operations supporting the Education Sector in Lebanon. She previously led global work on the measurement and improvement of teaching practices, and measurement in early childhood. She has also supported World Bank operations across multiple regions, including in Mozambique, Angola, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. Before joining the Bank, Adelle worked with children with autism, both in home and school settings. She also worked with Camfed, an international non-profit organization that focuses on girls’ education and young women’s empowerment. Adelle holds a Ph.D. in Psychology, with a focus on Early Childhood Development, and an M.Phil. in Psychology from the University of Cambridge; she has a B.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Oregon, with minors in Special Education and Business Administration.
