Adiam Hagos Hailemicheal is an economist with the Africa Region Gender Innovation Lab (GIL). Adiam’s research focuses on evaluating the impact of various innovative and scalable interventions that aim to close the gender gap in economic empowerment. Her current studies are on innovative entrepreneurship training programs, stress management, childcare, and land. Adiam also coordinates GIL’s evidence-based policy engagement in Ethiopia. Prior to the World Bank, she worked with Policy Studies Institute on various research projects. Adiam has a master’s degree in globalization and development from the University of Antwerp and a master’s degree in economics from Addis Ababa University.
