Aditi Malik is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the College of the Holy Cross. Her research is focused on the study of political violence, political parties, and ethnic politics in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Her ongoing book project proposes a theory on the relationship between party lifespan and elites' incentives to organize electoral violence. This research is based on a cross-regional comparison of Kenya and India with sub-national comparisons in the two countries. Aditi's scholarly articles have appeared, or are forthcoming, in Human Rights Review, Human Rights Quarterly, African Politics and Peacebuilding Review, Commonwealth and Comparative Politics, and Transitional Justice Review. Beyond Kenya and India, Aditi has also conducted fieldwork in Rwanda and Cambodia.
