Adnan is a Country Economist in Macroeconomics, Trade, and Investment Global Practice of the World Bank. Adnan is a Fulbright Scholar and his areas of interest are international economics, monetary policy, and public economics. In addition to the macroeconomic analytical work, including development updates and topical notes, Adnan has worked on areas including debt management, trade, fiscal federalism, and subnational finances. Adnan is currently leading technical assistance program on debt management and trade.
Before joining the Bank in 2016, he worked as a faculty of finance in National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) Business School. Before that he worked for the State Bank of Pakistan as an Analyst in the Monetary Policy Department.
