Senior Procurement Specialist

Adu-Gyamfi Abunyewa is a Senior Procurement Specialist in the Hanoi, Vietnam Office of the Public Integrity and Openness Department, Governance Global Practice. His main work focuses on supporting the Vietnam government on its Procurement Reform agenda and Capacity Building. Prior to his work in Vietnam, he was based in the World Bank's office in Ghana, in charge of procurement for the Ghana portfolio and supporting the Bank’s work in Sierra Leone and Liberia. Before joining the Bank, he taught as a Lecturer in Water & Wastewater Treatment and Technology at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana and also worked as a consultant on a number of World Bank-financed projects. He received an M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from Imperial College, London, an MBA Finance from the University Ghana, and a B.Sc. with Honors from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana. He has over 16 years of experience in Public Procurement and 23 years in Water & Wastewater Engineering. He has written articles on Procurement and Sanitation.
