Aileen Castro is a Water and Sanitation Specialist of the World Bank. Aileen has a Bachelor of Arts Degree Major in Economics from the University of Santo Tomas and Master in Business Administration from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business in the Philippines. Aileen has over 10 years of experience in promoting private sector participation in the development and financing of utilities. In her current role in the Philippines, she focuses on developing and implementing innovative approaches that promote systematic acceleration of water services in unserved areas such as capacity building, access to finance, and regulation. She is also supporting the utilities reforms project in Vietnam and lake management project in China.
