Dr. Alaa Hamed has more than 30 years experience of working in health. He holds a doctorate in public health and majored in nutrition. He has designed service delivery solutions to universal health coverage, public health, population and nutrition, health systems and public–private partnerships. He has led the Bank’s health portfolios in Egypt and Yemen, and provided support for the sector in Iran, Morocco, Djibouti, Lebanon, Oman, the Palestinian Territories, Jordan, and Vietnam.
