Albert Pijuan is the World Bank's Senior Country Economist for Zambia in the Macroeconomics, Trade, and Investment Global Practice. Before joining the Bank in 2020, Albert worked in more than 20 countries in Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and South and Southeast Asia for Oxford Policy Management, where he was a Principal Consultant specializing in macroeconomics and public finance. He has extensive experience in financial programming, macroeconomic diagnostics and modeling, debt sustainability analysis, and medium-term budgeting frameworks. Albert has a BSc in Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona and an MSc in Public Policy from Birkbeck, University of London.
