Alberto J. Ocampo is an Economist based in Rotterdam and a consultant with the World Bank’s Social Protection and Labor practice. His work focuses on labor markets, social protection, gender inequality, and migration, particularly in Latin America. He has contributed to projects addressing informality, gender gaps, and labor integration, while also collaborating with academic and policy institutions on research in labor economics, health economics, social welfare, migration, and economic development. Alberto is also passionate about education. He has taught microeconomics and game theory as a lecturer at Universidad del Rosario and Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano in Bogotá. He holds an MSc in Economics from Universidad del Rosario and a BSc in Economics from Tilburg University.
