Alessandra Richter is an Urban Development and Disaster Risk Management Consultant, working primarily in resilient urban infrastructure, sustainable cities, and disaster risk and climate change adaptation finance. She has over nine years of experience in the design and implementation of lending operations and technical assistance programs in Latin America and the Caribbean, and Africa. Her work spans the areas of urban development, social and resilient housing, urban innovation, municipal finance, and local economic development. Prior to joining the World Bank, she worked at the Inter-American Development Bank, international NGOs, and the Ministry of Housing, Construction, and Sanitation of Peru. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and Development Practices from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico.
