Alida supports the Global Program on Nature-based Solutions under the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR), where she coordinates urban applications of the Nature-Based Solutions Opportunity Scan and provides technical support to operations. She holds a PhD in ‘Combining green-blue-grey infrastructure for flood mitigation and enhancement of co-benefits’ from Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. She has over 15 years of working experience across Latin America, Europe, and Asia, having worked in private and public sectors as well as academia.
