Alina Kalle is a project coordinator at the Strengthening Gender Statistics (SGS) project, which provides statistical capacity building in IDA-19 countries to improve the availability, quality and use of gender data. Prior to joining the SGS team, she provided support on the analytical work, research and policy dialogue on gender across a range of sectors and countries in Africa and Middle East and North Africa regions. Before joining the World Bank Group in 2020, she worked on promoting women’s political leadership at the National Democratic Institute in Kyiv, Ukraine. She holds a Master's in Law and Social Policy from the Centre for British Studies at the Humboldt Universitaet zu Berlin.
