Dr. Aline Simen-Kapeu is a Girl and Women’s Empowerment (GWE) Senior Specialist at the World Bank Group Health, Nutrition, and Population Global Practice, supporting five countries: Guinea, Côte d’Ivoire, Central African Republic, Cameroon, and Chad. She supports the design and implementation of World Bank projects with a multisectoral focus on GWE while nurturing cross-sectoral collaboration between WB units, especially on SRHR/ adolescent health. She brings 15+ years of experience in global health programming, building country capacities, and providing advisory services. Aline holds a PhD in public health from the University of Tampere, Finland; and a Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD) from the University of Bouaké, Côte d’Ivoire.
