Alisher Rajabov is a Senior Economist with the Poverty and Equity Global Department of the World Bank and has been working on the issues of poverty measurement, high-frequency surveys, WASH and Nutrition, labor markets and migration, distributional impacts of climate change, gender and statistical capacity-building. His Bank country experience covers Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic. Alisher is the Task-team leader for a Statistical Modernization project in Tajikistan and is the co-author of the recently completed Poverty and Equity Assessment for Tajikistan.
Alisher holds a Diploma in International Economic Relations from the Technological University of Tajikistan, a MSc degree in Development Economics from the University of Manchester and a MCom degree from the University of Sydney.
