Alison Gilberto is a consultant in the World Bank’s Education Global Practice. Her work is primarily data driven and focuses on the consequences of the COVID-19 emergency on children’s education, globally and on a case-by-case basis with client countries. Prior to joining the World Bank, Alison worked as a Counsellor for the Permanent Mission of Chile to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris, France. She closely worked with dozens of public officials from different countries in the areas of education, research and development, and productivity, among others. Prior to this venture, she worked for the Ministry of Finance of Chile as an economic adviser on matters involving bilateral and multilateral economic cooperation. A native of Chile¸ Alison holds a Master in Development Economics and a Master in Economics from the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, and a BA in Economics from Universidad de Chile.
