Allan Hsiao is a PhD candidate in economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research uses quantitative economic models to study the planning of public infrastructure and generate policy prescriptions. He has also contributed to the medical literature on cardiovascular outcomes and the global burden of disease. He holds an MPhil in economics from the University of Oxford and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard College.
