Allen Dennis is a Senior Economist with the Development Economics Prospects Group (DECPG) at the World Bank, where he contributes to weekly briefs, work on growth prospects in Sub-Saharan Africa, and developments in global trade. Allen joined the World Bank as a Young Professional, initially working in the Middle East and North Africa region as well as the Finance and Private Sector Development Vice Presidency. Prior to joining DECPG, Allen served as an Economist in the Trade Policy Review Division of the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. He holds a Ph.D in Economics from the University of Nottingham, a Masters in Quantitative Development Economics from the University of Warwick, UK, and an MPhil and B.A in Economics and Statistics from the University of Ghana. He has authored a number of publications in refereed journals in the area of trade and development.
