Allison Demeritt is a Ph.D. candidate in Sociology and a Core Team member of the World Development Report 2015 at the World Bank. Her work bridges economic and sociological approaches to decision making, examining how both incentives and sociocultural factors shape behavior. She is currently examining interventions for improving the educational outcomes of children from low-income communities. Allison has worked as a public finance analyst at an investment bank and a project manager studying customer behavior at Amazon.com. She holds M.A. and A.B. degrees from the University of Washington and Princeton University, respectively.
