Amal Talbi is the Global Lead for Water in Agriculture. Before joining the Water Global Practice in July 2022, she worked in the Middle East and North Africa region and the Africa region in water resources management and water services. She led large infrastructure development projects covering the water, agriculture, and energy nexus, investments supporting improved performance in the water institutions, and water governance in regional and national programs. She also led technical assistance and knowledge on climate risk assessment, water planning, groundwater governance, water quality, and integrated urban water management, including performance-based contracts.
The Water in Agriculture Global Solutions Group (GSG) is a joint Water Global Practice and Agriculture Global Practice GSG that aims to enhance knowledge on water used in agriculture in terms of equity, productivity, and sustainability.
