Amanda is a short term consultant to MTI and brings extensive experience in economic policy and international development to her work at the World Bank. Amanda has worked at the most senior levels of the Australian Government and advised governments across the Asia Pacific Region on governance, fiscal policy, gender and social inclusion for the last 18 years. Amanda was Deputy Chief of Staff to the Australian Federal Treasurer and Deputy Prime Minister in the former Australian Government and spent the first decade of her career in the Australian Federal Treasury advising on budget policy, health and social policy. Amanda was Deputy Director of the Australia - Indonesia Partnership for Economic Governance (AIPEG) based in Jakarta, Indonesia and previously worked as an Adviser to the Papua New Guinea Treasury based in Port Moresby. Amanda has worked across the government, not for profit and corporate sectors, and founded the economic consultancy firm, Equity Economics and Development Partners in 2013. Amanda holds a Master of Laws from Australian National University, a Bachelor of Economics (Social Science) from the University of Sydney and recently completed her Global Executive MBA as recipient of the UN Women's Scholarship at the University of Sydney.
