Amirali Batada works at the intersection of innovation, leadership, and social and economic development at the World Bank Group. He has been responsible for advancing innovation programs within and outside of the organization, and enabling governments to address complex development challenges including those associated with youth unemployment and exclusion, social cohesion, mental health, and technology startup ecosystems. Amirali has also collaborated with the private sector, civil society and academia to design innovative programs and policies that foster employment, entrepreneurship and social development at scale, through harnessing emerging technology and pioneering interventions.

He has previously worked as a management consultant specializing in strategy, operations, leadership and sustainable business. His efforts have enabled key stakeholders to create public value and support sustainable development in their communities. Amirali holds a degree in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and a Masters of Education specializing in Leadership, Innovation and Development from Harvard University.
