Amy Juelsgaard is an environmental scientist and consultant with the World Bank's Amazon Sustainable Landscapes (ASL) Program. She joined the program in 2021 to focus on effective donor collaboration, funding analyses, and project coordination of knowledge management and capacity building activities on diverse topics, including wetlands, biodiversity monitoring via camera traps, park rangers, non-timber forest products, and river dolphins.
Before joining the World Bank, she worked for the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation’s Andes-Amazon Initiative managing a range of projects focused on biodiversity conservation, securing indigenous territories, and sustainable development in the Amazon Basin.
She has a Master of Science in environmental management from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Arts in international studies from the University of California at Berkeley.
