Ana Tere works in the Global Engagement and Knowledge Unit of the World Bank's Education Global Practice, and is based in Washington DC. Her areas of expertise include teaching, teacher professional development, school leadership, foundational learning, structured pedagogy and online learning. She currently provides technical and operational support to projects focused on improving educational quality in Angola, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico and Mozambique.
Ana Tere has experience in educational research, instructional design, and the development, implementation and evaluation of education interventions, with a focus on teacher and school leadership development programs. Previously, she was Research & Evaluation Coordinator at Via Educacion, an education NGO in Mexico; Senior Researcher and Project Manager at the Certificate in School Management and Leadership program at Harvard Business School; QA Analyst at the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), and research associate at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Ana Tere holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from Yale University (2013), an EdM in International Education Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education (2017) and a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design and Technology from the Harvard Extension School (2020).
