Anand Kumar Srivastava is Procurement Country Focal Point for Afghanistan and Senior Procurement Specialist in Solutions and Innovations in Procurement Department of Governance Global Practice of the World Bank. He is passionate about Implementation of Bank’s new procurement framework, procurement reforms, use of modern procurement methods, capacity building and use of Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) for Maximizing Finance for Development (MFD). Since last two and half years his focus area of work has been Afghanistan. Prior to working on Afghanistan, he worked in the Bank on a large economy of India for over seven years on various highly complex and large projects spread along length and breadth of the country. Anand joined the Bank with his 16 years of pre-Bank experience in procurement, project appraisal & monitoring, PPPs and management consulting. He holds Master’s Degrees in management as well as environmental engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
