Andre Bald is a Lead Urban Specialist with the World Bank, currently based in Singapore, covering urban and post-disaster reconstruction programs in South East Asia and the Pacific Islands. He has worked in urban operations for over 15 years for the World Bank based in Indonesia and Vietnam and covered East Africa while in Tanzania. Prior to joining the Bank, he worked at the Urban Land Institute in Washington, DC; and as an urban planner while a Peace Corps Volunteer in Romblon, Philippines. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies and Planning from the University of Maryland at College Park, and a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, DC.
