André Herzog is a Senior Urban Specialist at the World Bank. Since joining the Bank in 2003, he has provided operational, analytical, and capacity-building support to projects in India, South Africa, Brazil, Albania, Georgia, Angola, and Bosnia-Herzegovina from the Urban Anchor/Local Economic Development Unit, the Social Development Anchor/Local Government Unit, the World Bank Institute/Urban Unit, and the Urban Department. In 2019, he joined the Africa Urban, Resilience and Land (URL) Unit where he supported the urban development portfolio in Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya, Cape Verde and Angola. He is currently mapped to the LAC URL Unit, where he contributes to housing and urban development operations, analytical work and policy dialogue in Colombia, Dominican Republic, and Guatemala. André is an Architect and Urban Planner, MSc in Urban Development Planning.
