Andrea Haushofer is a Social Protection Consultant at the World Bank, where she provides analytical and operational support on topics including Social Safety Nets, Forced Displacement, Early Childhood Development (ECD), Economic Inclusion of Women, and Gender-Based Violence (GBV). Andrea has more than six years’ experience in development work in Africa and Asia. After being based in the Republic of Congo, she is currently working in Kampala, Uganda. Before joining the World Bank, Andrea worked with several international organizations, including the World Food Program (WFP), the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), the UN Special Rapporteur on Extreme Poverty, and the Council of Europe (CoE). She holds a master’s degree in law with a specialization in Human Rights and EU Law, as well as a bachelor’s degree in international development with a focus on Asylum and Migration from the University of Vienna, Austria.
