Andrea Kutter, a Geographer by training, has worked at the World Bank for the past 18 years. She is a Senior Natural Resources Management Specialist in the Environment, Natural Resources and Blue Economy Global Practice (GP) and has been working for the past 4 years in the South Asia region on sustainable forest landscape management in Nepal and Bhutan.
Before joining the GP, she led the Forest Investment Program and the Pilot Program for Climate Resilience, which are part of the Climate Investment Funds. Andrea also worked in the Global Environment Facility, the German Technical Cooperation Agency and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
She has expertise in natural resources management, including sustainable land and forest management, REDD+ and impacts of climate variability and change, socio-environmental policy, poverty and land tenure. She has worked with various stakeholder groups, including indigenous and traditional communities, the private sector as well as bi-and multi-lateral development partners.
