Andrew Mitchell (Senior Forestry Specialist), is a professional forester from the United Kingdom with 40 years of on-the-ground practical experience, having worked in the forestry sector in over 30 countries.
Since joining the World Bank in 2009, Andrew played a leading role in developing and expanding the Bank’s forestry portfolio in ECA region. In 2019 Andrew rotated to the South Asia (located in Singapore), and is working now in Nepal, Bangladesh and India.
Prior to the World Bank, Andrew worked as a forester and forest economist for a diverse range of clients, including private landowners, public agencies, private companies and international development organizations.
