Andrew Ragatz is a Senior Education Specialist currently working in the World Bank’s Indonesia office. His passion for education and development blossomed when teaching in a remote village in El Salvador as a Peace Corps Volunteer. His main focus is now on teacher quality and management, with a particular interest in teaching practices of mathematics teachers. Andrew has worked on education policy issues in various countries across Latin America and East Asia. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Northwestern University, a master’s degree in Public Administration / International Development (MPA/ID) from Harvard University and a doctorate in Education from the University of Oxford.
