Andrew Sunil Rajkumar is a Senior Health Economist at the World Bank. He has worked as an academic at Georgetown University in the USA, as well as at various applied research organizations and as a journalist at his home country Singapore. He joined the World Bank as a Young Professional in 2003. He has both analytical and operational experience at the World Bank, working in the health sector as well as on education and social protection issues, and on broader public finance issues. Within health, he has worked on a range of issues including on Comprehensive Primary Health Care, emergency health response, various aspects of health systems strengthening, performance-based financing and health financing in general. He has experience working on Argentina, Brazil, Haiti, India and several Sub-Saharan African and other Latin American countries at the World Bank.
