Senior Health Specialist

Andy Chi Tembon is a Senior Health Specialist at the World Bank, and the Task Team Leader for a school health project supported by the Global Partnership for Education (GPE). He is also the task team leader for the World Bank supported African Programme for Onchocerciasis Control (APOC) for which the Bank is the fiscal agent. Andy has worked on school health, Nutrition and HIV in many sub-Saharan African countries. Prior to joining the Bank, Andy served as a Programme Director for a Save the Children (UK) project in Sudan, a Primary Health Care Adviser for a DFID project in Nigeria, a Program officer for a USAID supported child survival project (BASICS II) headquartered in Washington DC. He has a degree in Medicine from Yaounde University, Cameroon and a Master in Community Health from Liverpool school of Tropical Medicine and a PhD from the London school of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (UK).
