Aneesa Mendis is a Consultant to the Digital Development team of the World Bank overlooking the Digital Development project for Sri Lanka. She joined the bank in 2021 and it is her initial project. Aneesa has worked in the Sri Lankan banking sector for twelve years with exposure to Retail banking, Product Development, SME banking and Digital banking. She has being a pioneering member of NDB Bank’s digital banking unit and she has overlooked the digital business development, data analytics and actively contributed towards digitization projects in the past. She holds a Master in Financial Economics from the University of Colombo.
