Aneesh Mannava is a Research Analyst at the East Asia and Pacific Gender Innovation Lab (EAPGIL). His current research focus is on gender gaps in economic opportunities in South East Asia - understanding where the gaps exist and how to design development programs to work for men and women. In the past, he has also carried out research on the topics of firm competitiveness and the benefits of infrastructure. He worked previously at the World Bank’s Competitiveness Policy Evaluation Lab (COMPEL), at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP) and Small Enterprise Finance Center (SEFC) at IFMR LEAD. He has undergraduate and master’s degrees in economics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and the London School of Economics respectively.
