Aneliya is a digital development specialist, who joined the World Bank in 2016 and has since worked on a wide range of investment and analytical projects with a focus on digital connectivity, entrepreneurship and private sector development in Central Asia, West Africa, and Middle East.
She has co-led several major lending operations related to the deployment of digital infrastructure, the development of digital services in social domains, the creation of a conducive private sector environment and strengthening of sectorial policies. She has also led or contributed to several country-specific and global analytical engagements, including Gambia Digital Economy Diagnostic, Productivity and Inclusion Opportunities from Adoption of Digital Technologies in Senegal, Support to Digital Transformation in Morocco, Effective Regulation for Digital Development, Senegal and Mauritania Systematic Country Diagnostics, etc.
Beyond the World Bank, Aneliya combines strategy and management consulting experience at KPMG with project and change management experience at the UN World Food Program. She holds a dual master’s degree in Economic Policy and Public Administration from London School of Economics and National University of Singapore (distinction) and was recognized for her professional and personal achievements by McKinsey Next Generation Women Leaders Awards in 2017.
