Angelica V. Ospina is a resilience consultant at the World Bank, and has more than 15 years of professional experience in the design, management and implementation of applied research projects in the fields of resilience, climate change adaptation, and Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) for development.

Angelica was part of the core team that developed the WB’s Next Generation Africa Climate Business Plan (ACBP) and the Resilience Booster Toolkit. Previous to her work with the Bank, she was Senior Researcher with the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), where she led the Big Data for Resilience initiative and coordinated the implementation of national adaptation programs in Latin America. Her experience includes positions as Senior Resilience Advisor at Lutheran World Relief (LWR), senior project management with Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC), and consultancies for a number of international organizations.

Angelica held a post-doctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Manchester's School of Environment, Education and Development (SEED) in the UK, where she completed her Ph.D. on climate resilience in agricultural livelihoods. She is a contributing Author to the IPCC 6th Assessment Report, and Advisory Board member of the UN Global Climate Action Awards.
